"DesignHat thinking incorporates all the different hats but is most closely linked to the Green Hat mode of creative thinking, where you apply the design process model to your work.
1. Define
2. Analyse
3. Ideate
4. Select
5. Identify
6. Evaluate
It also refers to thinking laterally or 'thinking outside the square' "
---------
This process is great to keep your mind flow going. When looking through the list of the design process these are the questions I ask myself:
Define - What is the problem?
Analyse - How urgent is the problem?
How difficult is the problem to solve?
What are the constraints?
Ideate - Brainstorm some Ideas on how to solve the problem.
Do research on the problem & other peoples solutions?
What are the most effective and how can you use them?
What other alternative solutions can you think of?
Select - Which ideas seem like the best options?
Which options are most Ideal for the situation?
Choose the most appropriate ones.
Identify - Analyse the final ideas.
What difficulties could arrive when attempting this Solution?
Do research & try some first drafts at the solutions.
Choose the most appropriate solution with the least difficulties.
Evaluate - When trying out the solutions, Did it work well?
What can you do to improve it?
Apply this to the final outcome.
